As well as services for horses we also provide Canine Massage Therapy services designed especially for Dogs!
O2i Canine Massage Therapy is a fully insured service and we have a treatment room in Eastleigh, Hampshire. We also offer a mobile service covering Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey and Sussex.
I appreciate that with the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic through the UKthat there may be concerns regarding mobile service providers such as myself, travelling around between clients. As the prevalence of the virus increases in the UK, I want to reassure you that I am taking precautions to ensure that I can continue to be available to look after my equine and canine clients without an increased risk to my human clients.
Please remember that animals are not carriers of the virus, the only risk is if the virus is present on their coats or skin and general biosecurity measures will protect everyone in these circumstances.
At this time I will implement the following additional procedures:
I will arrive at your home having made no side trips, run any errands or made contact with anyone else en route – any personal errands I need to fulfil (shopping, refuelling, etc) I will complete at the end of the day when I can go straight home and ‘decontaminate’ as necessary. All uniform is laundered daily, items that cannot be laundered (eg boots, phone, tablet) will be cleaned/wiped down at the end of each day (and between clients).
If I am visiting multiple clients on any given day between clients I am able to stop off at a neutral location to implement full biosecurity precautions. I carry with me facilities to wash hands, change clothing and spray down myself, my equipment and my vehicle if this is deemed appropriate at any time. (I do not wear gloves or a mask as this inhibits my ability to do my job.)
I do ask that we all adhere to physical distancing protocols wherever possible when I am in attendance at your home (I am sorry but I hate the term social distancing, we can still be sociable just not in close proximity, I assure you I know how to make myself heard over a distance!). If the weather permits I am more than happy to treat your animals in the garden or an outdoor space.
Frequent hand washing is one of the most effective measures we can all take to protect ourselves and each other, I will bring my own facilities to wash down between animals (if multiple pets in one household), please be aware that this may take a little extra time at the end of each session. I would appreciate it if all handlers could do the same.
I would also be grateful if the number of people present during a treatment is minimised where possible. If you are happy for me to treat your animals unsupervised I am happy to do this (for example if I am in your garden you can watch from the window and I can talk through what I am doing), obviously I can discuss anything with you over the phone afterwards and you will always have my written report to refer to.
I would like to avoid cash payments wherever possible (there are so many germs on money) so please have your debit/credit card available for payment (payment by bank transfer can also be made, please ask me for bank details).
If you are unwell, or have been in contact with anyone who is unwell please let me know as soon as possible so we can discuss the most appropriate course of action.
If you or your immediate family are in an ‘at risk’ group please let me know so that we can determine any additional measures that would be appropriate.
If your health status changes AFTER a treatment (or booking), please let me know ASAP – cancellations due to the virus can be rearranged at no extra charge.
As the current situation is rapidly changing, I will keep you updated with any changes as they occur.
Whilst I personally do not feel threatened physically by the Covid-19 situation (I am lucky enough to be in good health and not to be at risk of serious/life threatening symptoms) I fully understand that everyone’s personal circumstances are different and have different concerns regarding the situation and I am trying to be responsible and respectful of that. I am not trying to ‘overreact’ or ‘panic’ but am merely trying to do my best to ensure that I do not catch or transmit this virus and therefore can keep everyone safe whilst still treating your animals when they need it and throughout this potentially difficult time - and also to keep my business running and a roof over my head!

Before I can undertake an equine massage therapy treatment on your dog I will need permission from your Vet.
Anyone who treats your animals must do this, it is illegal to treat without their consent. This is a simple process - I just need a few details and can contact your vet directly.
I am also happy to work with them on a programme of rehabilitation post injury, illness or operation and dependent on your policy may also be able to work with your insurers if massage therapy is deemed a necessary treatment as part of a claim.
We aim to respond the same day but promise to get back to you within 24hrs
